Countdown is progressing, less than a week before the Skip 'Little Axe' McDonald's new album 'Champage & Grits' is in the shops. Real World Records has a nice feature. Check it out!
The 'feature', as Real World calls it, contains a nice animation and has Tackhead's guitar player explaining the name of his band Little Axe ('dub blues for the 21st century') and what 'Champagne and Grits' is about in several video clips.
Skip is looking forward to touring to promote the new album and is already thinking of recording new material. This time not as Little Axe, but as Skip McDonald. 'I want to do an album with very few instruments next time', Skip says about that. 'I would love to do a Little Axe album one year and a Skip McDonald album next year and so on.'
And for those wondering about the name Little Axe: 'I'm small and I'm sharp', says Skip.
